There are two Park & Ride schemes operating within the town making the town centre very accessible and there are also good parking facilities in and around the town centre.

Ipswich is historically and agricultural area and is close to the Heritage Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town's Football Club is currently doing extremely well in the Premiership League and has a huge following in the area and include children within a special Blues Crew membership scheme. I.T.F.C also run a thriving training school from which many Town players are selected.

Commercially, the town is home to major companies such as Axa, Willis Corroon, Sun Alliance and Churchill Insurance. B.T. have large facilities in and around Ipswich with the B.T. Research Establishment at Martlesham Heath just outside the Town. Ipswich also has several large haulage and freight companies with I.T. growing with the ever increasing interest in technology.

There are several noted private schools in the area including Ipswich High School, St Joseph's College, Orwell Park and Amberfield. There are also some excellent High Schools serving the Town and a good selection of Primary and Junior Schools.

Ipswich has a very good College affiliated to U.E.A. offering courses at all levels from A Level to Degree as well as the ever popular Leisure Learning Courses for adults of all ages.

Ipswich offers two large shopping complexes with all major High Street Stores, including Debenhams, Alders, Marks & Spencer, Monsoon, Next etc as well as specialist shops in interesting arcades and back streets. One of the finest examples of Tudor building in the centre of Town, Ancient House has been restored to its former glory by Lakeland Plastics who occupy the premises as a retail outlet.

Over the past ten years Ipswich has changed and developed remarkably and currently offers some of the finest properties and facilities to be found in East Anglia.
